Keep Calm and Carry On - Grey Blue Laptop Skin
I'm falling in love with some of the skin designs for laptops from schtickers. I may drop a hint or two to Santa this Christmas...
You can create a skin with your own image also

Muffins de chocolate con Oreo

250g harina
2 cucharas de café de levadura en polvo
Media cuchara de café de bicarbonato sódico
2 cucharadas de cacao
175g de azúcar
150g de chocolate en trocitos chips
1/2 galletas oreo
250ml leche
90ml aceite vegetal
1 cuchara de café de extracto de vainilla
1 huevo

El perro sin nombre / The dog with no name

A few days ago a very happy 'staffy' arrived to our home. He was found in the streets looking for people's attention and he was brought to the NGO that we collaborate with.

We have never had this breed before and we were very surprised. This is probably the most obedient dog we’ve ever had.

Walking beside you with the same dedication as a K9 would, he seems to be trying to guess which move to make next to please you. Looking for more information on the breed, we’ve learnt that he’s called nanny dog and we are certainly not surprise of this.

45 things / 45 cosas

I received a ‘random things about you’ challenge recently here it goes…
Hace unos dias recibi un ‘desafio’ llamado ’45 cosas al azar de ti’ aqui va… creo que se entiende bastante bien en inglés?

  1. Oreo milkshakes and chocolate mcsundaes make me happy
  2. Piles of stuff around the house drive me crazy
  3. I adore my 18 year old cat, he’s been the constant of my life since my early teens and makes me feel like nothing has changed at home when I come back
  4. I achieved independence when I was 18
  5. I have rented 6 apartments in the past and bought my first house when I was 22
  6. I am an only child
  7. I love barbaques at home
  8. I love peonies, hydrangeas and plumerias, especially the white ones
  9. I discovered fostering pets when I was unable to have a pet at home and I love it
  10. I can’t understand people that act irresponsibly with children and animals
  11. I keep my distances from: spiders, clowns and mimes
  12. When I have time, I love cooking new recipes, especially desserts
  13. I’m a Libra with Libra ascendant, and although I don’t read horoscopes that description of my full horoscope has me to a T
  14. I've always thought that one of my main purposes in life is being a mum
  15. I have been postponing the driving lessons for over 5 years now; I really don’t want to do it…
  16. I love, love, loooove Saturday mornings in bed
  17. I can read it and understand most of it, but I can’t speak French very well since my first year living in Dublin
  18. The only thing I would change about my body is my height, 5 more cms would be nice!
  19. I love (and try) to be a good friend, and have a handful of girlfriends that I consider sisters

  21. The person that I admire the most is my mum
  22. The person that inspire me the most is my husband
  23. Photography fascinates me and I hope to be good at it one day
  24. I met my husband in a queue. Things hadn't work out as planned in Dublin the first 6 months and I remember thinking: ‘How strange life is, you never know what’s going to happen…I could even end up marrying this guy’ Talk about fate…(!...!)
  25. I have visited 22 countries and love traveling
  26. I have been told I’m too diplomatic and I think I’m becoming more direct as I get older
  27. I believe that 90% of the time when there’s a relationship problem, its down to a communication issue and lack of information on the other party's actions and thoughts. I value people that tell you what they think before something becomes a problem and people that don’t feel that saying sorry is the most terrible thing that can happen to them.
  28. My favorite subjects in college were Art History and Psychology and had the most amazing teachers teaching them
  29. You’ll rarely see me wearing jeans or skirts and most people will never remember having seen me on those if asked, but I’m converting!!
  30. I find envy and bitterness very sad indeed.
  31. In a man the first things I notice are the voice, the eyes and the hands
  32. I’m not a ‘girly girl’
  33. I love spending sunday mornings looking around antique shops, but I very rarely get to do it
  34. I like attention to detail in projects and if I can’t get/find exactly what I had in mind I usually don’t get it until I find exactly what I’m looking for.
  35. I’ve been told that I have a great intuition and I’m learning to follow it more often.
  36. I can be very indecisive, and in important events in the past rather than following my gut I’ve tried to accomplice other people wishes, knowing they would not work… and I have regretted afterwards.
  37. I find politic debates funny and like to watch them especially before lunch or on Sunday mornings (I call it fix-the-world-before-getting-up-Sundays)
  38. I hate going to the dentist or the hairdresser
  39. I don’t have much time for Shopping and NEVER try anything on
  40. I dream about being a great violin player, I got one 5 years ago but have never taken any classes
  41. You can loose me completely if I’m sitting beside a window, listening to a song I like or the sound of water, especially in the sea.
  42. I have many fav animals but the number one has to be the otter.
  43. Like most Spanish people living in an English speaking country my vocabulary is full of spanglish terms that are perfectly understood by other Spanish people abroad but when I go back home people look at me sometimes as if I was crazy or they had reprogrammed my brain in an unknown planet that has its own language.
  44. My favourite moment of going skiing is having a hot soup/chocolate beside the fire
  45. I want to go back home one day soon
Pfiiiuuuu, which are your ones? Cuales son las vuestras??

She's a Lady

Introducing Lady, the beautiful colli/golden retreiever x that we are fostering since a few days ago.
Lady was wandering the streets of Blanchardstown when she was taken to the pound. A family looking for a new dog took her home the night before she was going to be put down and realised the following week she was pregnant when they took her to the vet.
She had the puppies but unfortunately the family couldn't keep her so had to let her go.
We will be fostering her until she finds a new home so if you know of anybody looking for a dog, she is very obedient, she loves company and would be great with old people and kids.

Mezclar:
180 gr de harina
200 ml de leche (yo he usado soja)
75 ml de agua
2 huevos
30 gr de mantequilla
Un poco de sal
1 cucharada (de café) de azúcar

... Et voila
